💄 easy, breezy, beautiful (sabotage)

💄 Not all days are easy, breezy, beautiful ( 👏 Covergirl).

Trust me. I want those glossy, flawless days more than anyone.

⏲ Boundless energy. 100% productivity. The best, best outcomes.

But it doesn't always happen that way, does it.

The other day I finally sucked it up and bought my Portland, Oregon 🌧 self an umbrella ☔ . I had been rained on far too many times and enough was enough.

I took my ☂ out for a spin on a particularly crappy-weather day. I needed to get to the office and had aspirations of being hyper productive.

And the flipping thing sabotaged me.

What I didn't account for were storm-calibre winds, my umbrella immediately turning inside-out, and getting utterly drenched on a 20 minute walk.

I was pissed. "I did everything right! What the hell?!"

Here's a secret: I did not go to the office. I ended up going home, annoyed, and watched 90 Day Fiance from under the blanket.

Not all days are "productive" and not all days are "perfect" even with preparation.

But, not all days are inside-out-umbrella nonsense either. The next day I got back out there and tried again. Well-rested, caught up with Gino and Jasmina, and ready to GO. 🎉
