đź’Ś Feeling like you need to do more and more...

Hi friend!

Last week I went radio silent.

I was in back-to-back calls all week, deep into my new consulting gig (more on that below!), and writing time? A mere figment of my imagination.

When I finally met up with my friend Sthems for Ethiopian food on Sunday, all I could say was, “OMG, I’m so busy. And exhausted.”

On the bus ride home, belly full of injera and revitalized with good convo, I realized.

What a good friggin’ problem to have.

You see, busy was such a foreign word 3 months ago.

I wished for busy.

For client sessions filled with laughter and breakthroughs.

For clients to say mind-blowing things like this!

It took a moment but here I am.

With my first 5-figure month since going full-time on coaching a couple months ago.

Busy! đź‘Ź Hell yes.

We (yes, I’m now including you) spend so much of our time with our eyes on the next goal to achieve.

(So much so, that we forget to see how far we’ve come).

Actually, that deserves an ALL CAPS, not a parentheses.

đź‘Ź WE FORGET TO SEE HOW FAR WE’VE COME. đź‘Ź

Maybe your progress was closing the 20 tabs open on your laptop and applying to a job that looked interesting.

Maybe it was reaching out to an acquaintance and having an interesting conversation with them.

Whatever it is —

I’m celebrating you and your progress. And let’s celebrate it together.

🏸 Other happenings:

  • Group coaching is now LIVE. If you want to be coached in a group setting and in community with a bunch of other awesome women in tech, boy do I have the group for you. I’ve run many communities before and trust me, this one is going to be special.

  • I landed a dream gig at LIS: The London Interdisciplinary School! LIS is a startup university that equips students with an interdisciplinary toolkit to tackle the complex, real-world problems. ::cue swooning::

Half of the time I’m developing strategy around future career pathway. The other half? Gaping at the students who are rattling off Noam Chomsky and abashedly apologizing for not knowing the exact date of the Cold War.

This week’s writing:

Rooting for you,

❤️ Sarah

Loving:

  • Massages that give you the choice of playlist + scent. I can’t go back to normal massages now! And thanks to my sister for gifting this to me on my birthday.

🎵 This song by Noah Kahan called “You’re Gonna Go Far.” I bet you’ve heard “Stick Season” before and envisioned crispy autumn leaves and hayrides.
